I was at Tommy's house yesterday, didn't post. Too busy spending the whole day playing games.
Man, Tommy's house is a dump! God damn, and it was a lot worse apparently, before Darren cleaned up everything. But still. Empty Milo packets everywhere. Expired food. Soggy chips. Pile of clothes in the corner. AND THE KITCHEN. Oh god the kitchen. It was horrifying. There was his attempt to make curry. Which resulted in a huge failure. You know, in anime and games when you fail a recipe you get some black matter or something. I never thought I'd see something like that in real life. Behold Tommy's saucepan, caked in a layer of dark demi-solid matter. Together with the brown stains caking the kitchen counters and the grills on the stove. And the stacks of unwashed plates in the sink. We wanted to ignore it at first but then it got late after all the game playing and we needed food but we didn't have enough money to pay for delivery so we had to cook. Darren went ahead first and started washing, and I joined him after because it really was quite a mess. Just. Amazing. And so is the contents of his fridge, how there's barely anything edible in it. Tommy clearly won't survive as a bachelor XD But he's graduated from being a bachelor cos' he got a girlfriend through some crazy circumstances. God dammiiiiiit.
We did go to a bar. Well. Wanted to. It was more of a beer cafe. Cos' the other bars were crowded so we thought any old bar would do. But they specialized in beer, we were idiots to order mixes and shit. Cos' they were bad. Well, mine was just Whisky with ice (it wasn't even On The Rocks. It was just flaky ice), but Darren's Gin Fizz and Tommy's Whisky Coke was really shit, especially for the insane price. My first drinking experience was quite shit, and Whisky wasn't quite as amazing a drink as I made it out to be...
Hanging out with them again tomorrow. I'll only get to see Tommy now until again in January, because my Hong Kong trip and his stay here had to coincide. Gotta enjoy myself as much as I can!
