Getting used to the climate was kinda difficult. Everyone had sinuses when they first arrived. All of us had the sniffles and runny noses. I brought drugs to counter it so I was good though XD
Hong Kong is kinda like Singapore. Just colder. The foreign foods and culture seem to overwhelm the local culture a lot more. It was a lot harder to find a local food store than home-run pizzerias and Japanese curry houses. Building placement in Hong Kong is much more awkward though. It's real messy-like. Apparently it's because their buildings obey fengshui so they position their buildings that way, with their streets kinda winding through them. Visually, not very appealing. But it is a traceur's paradise to parkour! I did my fair share of vault drills throughout the trip. I couldn't resist, haha!
We went to classes, unfortunately, amongst only our own students though. There was one time where we were allowed to chat with Hong Kong students. The language barrier was pretty tough, but I had a humorous conversation with this guy after we found common interests in rock and video games. Then we went on about girls. Then Japanese girls. Then erotica. Apparently guys all around the world speak the same language on those terms XD It really broke the ice. Smashed and grinded it.
Classes were full of programming and stuff though. Bugger, I thought it was purely Game Design. Man, it really wasn't what I expected.
